Employment in the accounting field means a highly profitable and successful career. The question is how much more profitable a career as a professional with a CMA (US) certification comparatively.

The salary survey conducted by the IMA in 2014 shows that CMAs earn more than their non-CMA counterparts. The median salary figures show that CMAs have a higher income than their peers, except those accountants who have both a CMA and a CPA certification. The age group for this exception is 50-59 years.

This is 39% more income than that of non-CMA-certified professionals, which is definitely a lucrative statistic when it comes to the decision of pursuing a CMA certification.
